  My tenants came from Ontario and placed theirs kids into this community. in the field of New Brighton elementary their son in grade 2 was bullied, pushed down and repeatedly kicked by schoolmates. People walked by and did nothing! The school won’t do nothing and the police report they filed will likely be ignored as Christmas time is around the corner. The only thing they are able to do is file a complaint to the school board. This is completely disgusting! This boy now has a broken rib and bruised organs and flying home for Christmas to likely tell his relatives that he doesn’t want to go back and he doesn’t like school. We as parents must teach our kids to be kind on others regardless of any type of disability. Every child deserves the right to feel safe at school knowing adults will protect them. I’m completely frustrated knowing that this will get ignored and he will go back in the new year fearing for what else there is waiting for him. What else can we do to help raise this awareness? Worst is who he thought were his friends were the ones that attacked him. Grade 2. Seriously?!! What are we exposing our babies to? The principle did NOTHING but send the parents to an email for the school board to file a complaint. #StopBullying #TeachYourKidsBetter

  We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful school in our community. The teachers have all been great to work with and our son really enjoys school. The principal is easily approachable regarding any issue at all and goes above and beyond to help.
